First step was funded by the Prince's Trust in December 2007 in order to set up an internet based support program for young people suffering from abuse.
The funding granted to 1step was an invaluable input into the organisation's birth. The Prince's Trust offer grants to young people in order to help them set up projects, events and organisations.

The Prince's Trust also put us in touch with Feisal Gwaderi, a voluntary business mentor. He has been an invaluable help in turning the project into an professional organisation.
NVS (Norwich and Norfolk Voluntary Services) have been a great support whilst setting up the organisation. Offering important information, resources and organising meetings to talk about how best to move the organisation along.
The guild have also offebrightgreen their support and corresponded with the organisation during the process of setting it up. Their literature and advice have been very useful.
